Mpumelelo Norman Lubisi - Founder

Mr Mpumelelo Norman Lubisi, a former two-term councillor in De Doorns, dedicated his life to improving the living conditions of vulnerable families and later founded Isingqi Sekamva in 2017 to fight hunger in the community.

With support from Litha Labantu, the Breede Valley Municipality, and the Department of Social Development, he established a soup kitchen, distributed food parcels during COVID-19, and launched community initiatives like vegetable gardens and a clothing bank. His mission has always been to ensure that no one in De Doorns goes to bed hungry.

Testimonials

What our people say about us!

I joined the organisation as a beneficiary during a difficult time in my life. Through their support and skills development programmes, I gained confidence and practical experience. Today, I am proudly employed as a gardener within the organisation.

As a survivor of gender-based violence, I found safety, support, and emotional care at Isingqi Sekamva. With their help and support from the Department of Social Development, I regained confidence and began building a safer future for my children.
